SUMMER YOUTH ACADEMY

PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Summer Youth Academy is designed to promote the mental, physical, and spiritual development of children attending Middle School. It is our desire that every Summer Academy participant would learn to model the character of Christ through mentorship while they are entrusted in our care. Each day begins with a devotional and a biblically based curriculum-Bible Study. Your children will attend a weekly worship service and learn the value of serving their community. General activities such as applied arts, recreation and life-skills classes will also help your children develop tools that are foundational for healthy socialization, team building and self-esteem. Lindenwold Board of Education will provide a free nutritious lunch each day for Lindenwold residents; all others will be required to bring a bag lunch. Please see Fee Schedule below.
	PURPOSE Spiritual Growth – helping your children discover where they are in their spiritual walk and establish a plan for growth; helping them realize their God-given potential; providing opportunities for discipleship/mentorship by caring adults who are modeling the Christian life. Equipping your children with the necessary tools for successful living (home, school, community) Development of critical thinking skills Providing a safe environment Providing meaningful activities that help students be creative, productive, and develop healthy relationships with peers and adults.
	STAFF Trained, caring staff will be responsible for the safety and well-being of your child. Each staff member is trained and experienced in providing instruction and monitoring in a particular skill area.
	ART Each Tuesday and Thursday the students will explore art by working with a variety of media. To see the Course Syllabus for the Summer, click HERE.

Tuition must be received on or before the start of each week or your child WILL NOT be permitted to attend classes until fees have been brought current.

If your child is to be picked up at the end of the day, a late fee of $5.00 will be charged for every ten minutes your child remains at the program after the close of day.
